ArtAndes was invited to share in a day of Latin American culture at 'La Semana' a week long day camp that hosts over 450 adopted Latin American children, teens and their parents.

This is a very impressive event coordinated and staffed by parents, alumni and alumni parents. There is great pride and much effort put out to embrace the Latin American Heritage of the children's birth countries. They just celebrated their 30th year and it's hugely successful.

Master weaver Wilber Quispe was able to share his story throughout the day with the many different groups that would schedule time to come by the loom. Hearing his compelling story, how he wove his way out of poverty, himself orphaned at 8 yrs old, got the attention of all ages.
