Rug Layering

I’ve been selling rugs in the market place since 1987. The Mpls Farmers Market was my retail start. It was quite a different market place back then. It was the place to be at the time, vibrant with an upscale appreciation for textiles. Being across from the International Market Square Design Center, helped me learn alot about design from my clients in a short amount of time. Along the way, selling rugs in such a social market place, gave me my entry to corralling people to go to Peru with me. I have been fortunate to make life long friends going back to those beginning years. Good folks bought rugs and some took it all the way to a Peru trip. I’ve also seen these friends go through life and home changes, the heirloom rugs follow. Recently David & Barb, moved to a beautiful home they designed, smaller than the one they bought rugs for two decades ago, so they layered the rugs! And added a new one! I love it.
