Vayan a Los Andes!

A reference from Lyndel King/ Curator of the Weisman Art Museum This was a custom designed trip Nov 2018 with an arts focus for folks from the Weisman Museum & The White Bear Center of the Arts. (All trips are custom designed!)
”Melanie gave us a magical experience with wondrous people, places, and art.  She introduced us to the weavers, knitters, and other craftspeople and artists who make beautiful things.  Because we were buying things, for the most part, directly from the makers, you could also feel that you were helping people sustain themselves through their art and that you were also helping preserve a culture— a way of life and its art. Through Melanie, we were allowed into people’s homes in remote places—an experience we could never have had without her.  She knows the land and its people very well and was able to make us feel a part of it in a generous and gracious way.”

Peru: Unique & Personal

2-6 folks

This is a unique opportunity to experience Peru in an intimate way. After nearly 4 decades of boots on the Andean ground and 3 decades of designing culture art and history trips to the land of the mountain spirits, I’m taking advantage of the changes brought on by Covid. I’ve gone from group sizes of 12-16 folks, which was alot of fun and created life long friendships, to a more intimate size of 2-6 folks. Grab your favorite travel partner and come along with me to Peru! We can pursue your special areas of interest, alot can happen during 10 days in the Andes on a private tour. $5995 PP includes all but a few meals. International airfare not included.

Planned dates :  April 2-13, 2025, mid November 2025

Ecuador and Peru are Melanie’s places of passion! Walk through nature in Ecuador, including cloud forests, birding, haciendas, architecture, and a Galapagos Islands option. Peru covers a vast, in-depth variety of options including archeology, anthropology, botany, art, culture, and history.
These are two of the most bio-diverse countries on earth!
