TheTextile Trunk Show Tour Goes West
Driving a cargo van of textiles from MN to California & Arizona, is a great excuse for a scenic road trip. This was my 4th year of promoting Peru textiles & travel. A unique and fun way to market. It's a combination of staging homes of past Peru trip friends as well as some public venues like weaving guilds, fine art centers, community centers and clubhouses. When visiting homes of Peru travelers, they are usually pre-invested in textiles purchased at Wilber's or Maximo's studios during the trip, creating the perfect backdrop for more! Plus the other great bonus is that the hosts are very excited about the ArtAndes Peru adventure and we have filled future trips this way! I think it's the perfect marketing plan: social, fun, adventurous and profitable. I come home with new orders for the weavers, they like it too!
