Art with Significance

We recently gave a talk on the significance of the textiles that ' The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet ' chose for the main lobby of their retirement community in St. Paul. What a group of dedicated and competent women. Telling Wilber's story to them, which is the story of the piece they look at every day, was very moving. These women have worked in impoverished areas worldwide. They are worldly. They know this story well, yet it is clear that they care about each and every story. These women gave much thought in the art they wanted to live with. They chose two main focal points for a Maximo Laura tapestry and a Wilber Quispe tree of life story rug. The 'Niño Perdido' tapestry has found a good home!
